Howdy folks! Long time no hear. We are implementing Novell Portal Services, and would like to serve content via Manila. I am wondering the following:
1. Is it possible for Manila to be the content server? I presume so, though pointing me in the right direction would be helpful. Novell supports HTML, XML, RSS and maybe SOAP. It is highly flexible and I can write new gadgets in Java as well. Of course, the least amount of work is preferred.
2. What is the best way to add a "create new story" form to the web page? Simply do an HTML insertion of our.server.com/discuss/edit/newThread? Is there a way to pass user information to Manila in a URL so I can do single sign on? Or is there a way to disable membership requirements for posting, given that the only way in will be through the portal?
This is a Manila site.. http://manila.userland.com/.
