Try this:

Create a new story and add it to the site structure.

i.e. www.yoursite.com/site/test

Then go to the admin section and delete the story.

The story is not accessible through the storyreader URL (also does not show up on the list of stories), but you can still access the story with the site structure URL:

www.yoursite.com/site/test

Also, if you had the site indexed, it's still in the index.
