Is there a way to create a 'pop up' box that challenges a user to re-enter their manila password?

Ideally, I'd like to do something like the dialog.getPassword command that works on remote machines through mainResponder that pops a new window and then re-authenticates the user (I need to do this for an electronic signature).

Since I don't see this, I'm guessing I'll have to do this with a javascript.
