A couple of days ago, Frontier fired up Netscape, asked for a password for the admin interface on port 5336, which I don't have because I could never get that browser admin interface thing to work. So I closed the Netscape page. Ever since, the development interface has been broken, although the http server is still running properly as far as I can tell.
I only see the Frontier, File, Edit, Window and Help menus (the Help menu is empty). I can open Frontier.root by double clicking it, and it stays open for about 30 seconds and then closes itself. So I can't do any serious script or data editing. If I quit Frontier and restart it by double clicking Frontier.root, I see all menus except the Server menu, but they dissappear after about 15 seconds and I'm back to the minimal menus.
What the &^*%*&^% is going on? I've been using Frontier for about 6 or 7 years and I've never seen anything like it.
(Running Frontier 9.0 under MacOS 10.1.5 on 350MHZ BlueG3.)
