even if it has a different IP address the domain name should still work, or is there no dns entry pointing to the server yet. As long as the dns resolves it should work fine, or you could try checking the #ftpSite entry and make sure that it is using the domain name rather then the ip.

Another trick is to use the pre and post filter to alter the urls based on the request
