This is off the top of my head, but if you have a sendEmail callback in a config.manila.callbacks.sendMail table that detected some unique characteristics of the admin sending context, you could do this. See http://frontier.userland.com/stories/storyReader$5199

There isn't an addMember callback that I recall.

The finalFilter callback is another place to do this since it can catch pretty much every condition.
