Sluggishness closing ODB objects?

Aloha. I've noticed a pronounced sluggishness on my G4 running OS 9.2.1
when I'm closing object windows. It was barely noticable at first, but now
it takes about 10 seconds for a window to close after I command-w or click
on the close box. I first noticed sluggishness about a month ago, and it's
been getting progressively worse.

I've tried saving a copy of the guest db that contains the files I'm
working on, and the sluggishness remains. I've tried objects in the
Frontier root, and they open and close almost instantaneously.

running F 7.01 for Mac Classic, just updated Frontier.root this morning.
System - G4 733Mhz, 512Mg RAM, 40 gig HD. Guest DB is 1.6 meg, and holds a
site that I'm static rendering. I've set preferred memory to 25 meg and
tried higher; no noticable difference.
