[bug] Static rendering

I think I missed part of this thread.

What are the problems you are having with static rendering? I had 
some issues, but have resolved just about all of them.

This site

is completely managed via Manila on a server in my office. The client 
can use "Render this page" to render and FTP pages to their server, 
hosted on campus (this is the reverse of Kelly's situation). I also 
have an admin page where the entire site can be re-rendered in bulk 
(only pages that have been previously rendered can be re-rendered). 
This system works very well.

Some things I do are my own customizations, but the basic "Render 
this page" functionality is pretty much stock.
