manila question- removing the 'date bar' from the homepage

I'm using a non-daily-news type of homepage... (http://www.threeofus.com/)
Right now, there is a bar at the top of the page underneath where the
<title> is echoed which has the little newspage icon and the date (Friday,
February 15, 2002) of the day I first edited the message/page.  I've
looked all over the template but I can't see how that gets there.  Can
anyone direct me on how to remove it?
