Frontier and InDesign

I've been having a related problem, having Frontier look up a record
in a FileMaker database. It works sometimes, but inconsistently;
sometimes Filemaker returns "record not found" when there is a
record, sometimes either FileMaker simply quits on me. When it quits,
I have to restart Filemaker, quit it normally, and then restart again
to get AppleEvents to work again. For any kind of production
environment this is obviously not workable.
I had problems with Frontier 8.05; the solution was the AppleEvents
Beta (http://support.userland.com/osxAppleEventsBeta). That was
somewhat flaky, too. Frontier 9 seems to work just as well as the
AppleEvents Beta.
Can you send AppleEvents through Script Editor? Seems to work for me,
but I haven't put it through anything like a real test. Does anybody
know if this is a general 10.2 problem, or something specific to
Frontier?
