Unable to post edits on manila sites

This one keeps coming up: there have been several discussion threads in the
Frontier discussion group which you could usefully link into your page
below.

One quirk I have been stumped by on occasions occurs when editing in Radio,
which has the irritating habit of changing the URL of the page containing
the 'edit in Radio' button to include Radio's port number. I have never
understood why it does this, but if you then submit data from a form on that
page a referer error can occur (because the URL has been changed).

Some time ago I made the suggestion that referer checking could be a
user-settable option. There are some situations -- such as intranet usage --
where the security risk is minimal.
