{bodytext} on Homepage Adds Extra Tables (For No Reason)

Hello Everyone -

Sorry for the cross-posting. I have been having a bunch of unexpected
hiccups from Frontier/Manila lately, but this one is the most perplexing
so far:

I have my homepage template set up in Prefs > Advanced exactly the way I
want it. I am using News Items on the homepage.

My News Day Template at Prefs > Advanced only says {newsContent} without
any further formatting.

My News Item Template at Prefs > News Items says:

<font class="newsheader"><a class="newsheader"
href="{url}">{title}</a></font><br>{description}<br><br><div
align="right">{editLink}</div>

However, when I view the homepage, the template is completely messed up.
When I view the source, Frontier has stuck in extra tables that are
found NO WHERE in my templates. Ultimately, it ends up looking like
this:

    <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

            <tr>

                        <td valign="top">

                                    **TEXT FROM {bodytext} DELETED OUT
HERE**

                                    </td>

                        <td width="20">&nbsp;</td>

                                    <td valign="top">

                                    </td>

                        </tr>

            </table><p>

Note that no part of this table (nor the <p> tag at the end) are
anywhere in my templates. This wouldn't be so bad, though, if it didn't
stick in that second <td width="20"> which ultimately is the part that
throws the whole thing off.

Can someone explain to me what is going on here?

Thanks!
