This is great...but it seems there is a problem reading local feeds.

I think the problem has to do with the pta getting overwritten when the feed is read as described here.

Maybe this isn't a common problem but I sure run into this a lot where there is a single Frontier / Manila installation taking care of a small workgroup / company.
