Site hierarchy and the Site tree mechanism

Hi,

I've been trying to get the maainresponder.domains.default.siteTree 
mechanism to work for me today -> no luck! I thought I was well 
informed read all the stuff suggested by search.userland.com and Dr. 
Matt's tutorials and I got it to work may 2002.

I have a manila website called "a" and another called "b" (both 
work). Now I want to serve the bManilaWebsite from:
	http:/mysite/a/b

I follow the procedures, get response from changing the siteTree at 
the toplevel, but I can't get the a/b part to work -> 404's.

Is the mechanism still in place?

Any suggestions?
