You can, but you have to modify the spamassassin daemon to do it. 
Essentially, spamassassin looks at the connection to close for writing 
before it processes, and Frontier's tcp implementation is not set up to 
close the connection for writing, but not reading.

I have an unreleased tool that communicates with the modified 
spamassassin daemon, but since it's not a clean plug in I've never 
gotten it to a releasable state.
