Within-browser formatted editing

It appears that if you go to edit a Manila page with Windows IE or
FireBird, a lot of the content gets changed. For instance, on a page that
has some table tags embedded, those table tags are removed. All of the
elegant two-returns for a new paragraph get turned into double 
<br> tags. And so on.

Any way around this? Some of the editors use these browsers and like to
use the WYSIWYG editing, some are more comfortable doing it with straight
code. When a page is edited with a WYSIWYG browser, it quite messes it up
for the next person looking at the code.
