Content editors have the ability to edit any content in a Manila site, just like managing editors, but unlike managing editors, content editors are not allowed to change templates or site preferences.
When the content editor role was implemented, a few features were missed: content editors weren't allowed to edit shortcuts, render static pages, or set relative paths for discussion group messages.
Today we released changes which address these bugs. Content editors are now allowed to edit shortcuts, render static pages, and set relative paths for discussion group messages.
These fixes are available now on all UserLand-hosted Manila sites. To get the fixes, <a href="http://frontier.userland.com/howToUpdate">update</a> Manila.root.
