/Frontier allows you to configure the date format for the home page and story bylines seperately. Check under Prefs->Appearance/

Sure: that's not the issue. Neither of these settings influence the format
of the 'posted' date of a News item. In the News Item template is a
hardwired macro "{postTime}". Does anyone know if the date format in that
can be configured?
