I have a requirement for a site that has
1. A 'closed shop' of members .. i.e. invites only so don't wan't to see the "Join Here" message on the login page or have access to the www.site.com/joinup/ page.

2. Ability for Member only pages and public pages (not just discussion group).

3. Members to access www.site.com/prefs/ so as to change their password and preferences and member only links to appear on the navigation links only for members e.g. "Edit Prefs"

4. Ability for the managing editor to change member email bulletin yes/no status.

Am I asking for the impossible, if not any light shed would be welcome.
