Ken,

I would be inclined to encourage faculty members to use a newsreader rather than trying to create pages in the Manila site. I happen to be a Mac guy using NetNewsWire, and were I to do more for my teachers than simply showing them how to subscribe to a feed manually, I might use an AppleScript to automate the subscription process somehow. Another approach might be to generate OPML files that each teacher could import into their newsreader (assuming this capability).

If I were determined to create listing pages in the site, I'd still probably still use a script to generate the HTML for the listings, again, assuming I could get a tab-delimited text file containing students & classes to process.
