Actually, it is more complex than it first appeared.

When I post a new News Item I do get the error shown above. However, if I go to the Pending News Items page the new News Item is listed there despite the error message. If I click on the news item in the list I can then post it by clicking the Post to Home Page button on that page...

Strange.
