Recent Subscriptions Have Disappeared!

A week ago I entered 30+ subscriptions via the admin page; they were to local
student weblogs for an Anthropology class's field notes. When the student added
to her blog, the professor would see that fact in his aggregator.
Today, I found out that ALL of those subscriptions have disappeared from the
list. I will, I assume, have to enter them all again.
Here are my questions:
1. Is there a limit as to how many subscriptions can be on the listing?
2. Could they be there but are simply not displayed? In other words,
is there a limit to how many are displayed? (Of course, if they are there
but not displayed, there is no way anyone could subscribe).
3. Is this a frequent problem? I don't want to spend the time entering
them again only to find they are gone again.
I hope I don't have to enter them again but if I do I hope someone
can assure me they won't be lost.
