Thanks Samuel for your efforts.
I try to run date(filerSuite.VersionDtae) (script ?)
I obtained error info Can't coerce the value to a date.
Go to open system.verbs.global.date.

So I try changing manually filerSuite.VersionDate 2003/11/07 to 07/11/2003 as I have date defined in prefs > appearance.

filerSuite.VersionDate is a string with ten characters
And bad luck, as soon I change the value a number is calculated.
And I can no more come back to 2003/11/07

In another way, I confirm it's caused by updating roots.
I have installed Frontier 9.0.1 on another G4 Max OS X to try it
but not to use it. I try it with Filer 2.0b18 and same Manila WebSites
as to day on my Powerbook G3/Frontier 9.1b4 (I didn't succeed to install 9.0.1 on it).
And I have normally the icons.
So I upate Frontier.root : it's always OK.
I update Mainresponder.root : icons are lost

Samuel, how can I make the try completely, if it's useful?
