Brent,
We are trying to figure out what the problem is here - whether its the browser's mechanism for editing, something that can be corrected in Manila, or a bug in the JAWS program.
If you are using IE, the issue is more than likely with the WYSIWYG editor that IE provides. According to our engineers, it's also how Mozilla/Firefox works and appears to be the way Apple plans to implement it in Safari as well. Our first suggestion is to not use the WYSIWYG editor with JAWS and see if that helps.
David Bayly was kind enough to point me to Jim Byrne who is very knowledgeable in Frontier / Manila and specializes in accessibility work. He is currently working freelance. Hopefully, with a few heads looking at this we might be able to come up with something to help.
This is a Manila site.. http://manila.userland.com/.
