Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes I've tried updating it but the update always fails. Originally it said I had an invalid serial number (I'm on a trial version). Now the connection to your servers keeps timing out after 2 mins and the update fails.

I've tried updating about 7 or 8 times now but it seems stuck.

I've tested browsing your site from the server Manila is installed on: works fine. There are no proxy settings necessary, etc. Does Manila communicate with updates.userland.com on something other than port 80 (http)?
