Changing a story's date?

Is there a way to back-date a story in Manila?
Here's my situation. I've got a bunch of essays that have been written
over the past few years. I want to get them into Manila, but I want the
dates to display as the date I wrote the essay, not the date it was
published on Manila.

Is this possible?

I control the server if that makes a difference.
