Aesthic Modification To My Template

Can anyone provide some guidance to this newbie who's trying to make the =
following modifications to his Manila site =
(www.sortagolf.manilasites.com).
1.) add the same 'black border with drop shadow effect' between the =
background and content layers that are used on the Userland.com and =
ScriptingNews.com sites
2.) turn off/remove (or relocate the position of) the "archive" =
function, who's title appears in the upper right hand column of my three =
column template.
