This is exactly my problem. I would naturally expect the news items I would
like to remove to be removable through the "news" or the "discuss" sections,
but they're not. Moreover, I tried the "Edit" button under each news item on
the homepage, expecting to find a "Delete" button, but there was none. I
posted here after looking all over the place for a simple "Delete" button.
Where is it? :-)

We are running 6.2.1, we don't have an upgrade on this machine and would li=
ke to either:

just export from this server to move to another
and / or=20
export to static html and archive the sites... there is a nice plug-in I re=
ad about but I have to update to use it and we don't have the resources to =
do that at this time
