There is a very simple workaround that I have used numerous times.

Add scripts to the #tools table - create your own table in your site where you add your page in wp text form where you call your macros - works amazingly fast and simple.

For example I have created a project control site where I list issues this simple:

#title "Project Organisation Open Issues/Tasks List"
{listIssuesPM()}

The listIssuesPM() is a macro in #tools.
