Nowt to do with Manila it's your mail server doing 'the correct thing.' It's stopping spammers from relaying spam. But in your case you want to relay from Manila. So, you'll need to let your mail server allow you to relay from the IP address that Manila runs from.

If you can't get your mail server to relay mail, from your IP, then you're royally screwed.

There is only one place you can add a mail server, you can't add two, not without significant alteration of Userland scripts, and you really don't want to go there.

The place you want to change the mail server (which still will need to allow you to relay) is in the Frontier root. At:
user.prefs.mailHost
