Hi, I am currently in my final year of University studying Computer Science. I have been assigned a project, to investigate Really Simple Syndication (RSS), and in particular the use of XML RPC, in the implementation of an RSS cloud notification system.
So what I really want to do is to set up a system where by a user subscribes to a XML feed, and will receive updates and changes to that feed instanteously. Im still thinking of an area, to apply this in. I shall be using Java to develop this project.
I haven't been able to find a much information on the cloud interface. What I want to know is when users subscribe to a feed, where are the users details, and method to call to notify the user of updates stored, in a database?
I have tried using Radio Userland as a test to see it working in practice, by subscribing to other peoples weblog that have a cloud interface. What i notice is that Radiouserland only refreshes once every hour.
Your help and advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
