We are running some 900 sites in 3 website database instances. Our server specs are as follows:
2 Intel Xeon 2.8 GHz Processors, with 2GB RAM on a HD 33.9GB.
A very capable machine. Yet Frontier is incredibly slow.
Most of the sites on the server are still in development and receive only very few hits.
I noticed that the Frontier process creates vast numbers of Pagefaults that are also not being dumped. The number of pagefaults (which occurs during virtual memory allocation outside of the regular RAM memory data allocation)outnumbers discreads per second by far!! What can we do??
It is impacting the running of some 900 websites.
This is a Manila site... http://manila.userland.com/.
