The sourceforge site shows it as a bug that was checked in last year - but no update on it yet.
The problem is ultimately that Frontier appears unable to reach the file if given a file name > 31 characters. I've solved everything else. So, what I think I might be able to do is trap the url requested by the user which references the long file name and find a way by using a unix command to retrieve the short file name and hand that to Frontier. But I have no idea how to retrieve that name - or to convert a >31 character name to a short name. With that, I think I can cobble together a workable solution.
