Just so everyone knows, we're looking into working in a feature for either 9.6 or the next subsequent version of Manila, which allows managing editors to specify their own 404 Not Found pages, as well as customized error pages for when there's an unexpected error on the server.

There will at least be easier hooks in Manila 9.6 for doing this, but the user interface may have to wait for the next version.

The point here is that if you don't need the custom 404 pages urgently, you might want to wait until 9.6 is available, and use the new hooks to make this easier to do.

Also, it's worth noting for Marlin that the site structure feature can be used to redirect from an old URL to a new one. Without more details about your site's move from GoDaddy, I can't tell if this will help you or not, but I thought I'd let you know that the feature is there.
