You can connect to the database using different formats like ODBC, XML-RPC and SOAP.

If you just want to index the discussion group, you will find a sub-table of each Manila website called #discussionGroup. Inside there is another sub-table called messages which reflects the messages you would see if you loaded the discussion group in your browser.
