New Message: RPC bug of some kind

After installing Manila 9.5, Ranchero (Brent Simmons)'s MarsEdit can no longer obtain a list of posts on any Weblog for which it is configured. The error message is always something like this:

"Can’t get recent posts for Life and Deatherage because CanÕt evaluate the expression because the name Ò116447744Ó hasnÕt been defined."

The weird characters are misencoded "smart" quotes coming from Frontier. The error occurs with Weblogs set to use Manila, Blogger, or Metaweblog API sets when trying to "refresh" the list of posts. It did not happen with Frontier 9.0.1. All plug-ins on the site were disabled for testing and it made no difference.
