We've customized the members signup form via Custom Prefs for a  
buddies manila site and the problem we are having is that members are  
being assigned duplicate id numbers. I can go to the server and  
manually correct the numbers but it repeats the error.

For example.. You'll see that
   #17 bianca  and #11 Tiana  and #20 jaqueline  and #10 Jbo314  and  
#5 crystal
are all linked to ...profiles/$17
