We're releasing a new feature with Manila 9.6: archive pages for news item departments.

Each department page will now have a calendar, just like the home page (if the calendar is turned on). The calendar links to older posts in the category.

With this feature there will be no need to use a macro to list more posts than the default. Older posts will automatically roll off the department page onto its archives, just like posts on the home page.

Manila 9.6 is scheduled for a short public beta testing period starting in the next few days, and will be officially released about a week afterwards, assuming that no deal-stopper issues are found.
