Well, that's my entire point, is wanting a way to preview the content before it's added to the system. I can then use MarsEdit to write a message, and by running it through such an XML-RPC filter, could get back exact styled HTML and know /exactly/ how it's going to look. This would let me see if I need to go add legal tags (like <ins> and <del>), fix macros, add shortcuts, etc.

Right now, I have to create a message just to see how Manila will render it. Even if I create a news item and don't release it, it shows up in the discussion group to all. It's just a pain to have to create content in the system for the sole purpose of knowing how it's going to look. I can create a Web page or site on my hard disk and preview it without having to upload it to a server, but I can't do the same for a Manila message.
