I thought of one thing I did on the server last week - though I have no knowledge of a cause/effect relationship since I didn't notice this problem until days later. (Not that I would have seen it since it occurred on a little used site.)

I had use the admin pages to delete a number of old Manila sites on this server that were no longer in use.
