New Message: Multiple departments for ViewNewsItem macro

I'd like generate a hierarchical index of news items that looks like this:

 "Systems Administration Articles"

 "For Release A"
 - Article 1
 - Article 2

 "For Release B"
 - Article 3
 - Article 4

 "General Articles"

 "For Release A"
 - Article 5
 - Article 6

 "For Release B"
 - Article 7
 - Article 8

The ViewNewsItems macro only takes a single department parameter. This is fine for small blogs, but is getting awkward for my rapidly-growing one (http://blogs.oracle.com/schan).

It'd be nice to be able to be able to supply multiple departments to create smaller mutually-exclusive lists.

Any plans for this enhancement?
