My settings for Email Notifications are:

Do you want notification sent when a News Item is created? Yes
Do you want notification sent when a News Item is edited? No
Do you want notification sent when a News Item is released? Yes
Do you want notification sent when a News Item is posted to the home page? Yes

Also, our membership sign-up form includes this question, but nothing about News Items:
"Receive email bulletins in HTML or plain text?"

Could this be caused by how we've configured our Manila? I have subscribed/joined through a Yahoo e-mail account, but do not recieve news items.
