Hi there,

why does the RSS 2.0 Webfeed of Manila sites not entail a pubDate per item?

If I am not mistaken, the RSS specification treats pubDate only as an optional sub-element of <item> . Nevertheless, it seems that this would be a rather useful metadata entry for aggregation scenarios. So, why not putting it into the feed in the first place?
