When I attempt to load /discuss/msgReader$# it actually loads the msgReader page for the original post. So instead of:

/discuss/msgReader$294, which is the message number for the discussion response. I get the following:

/discuss/msgReader$293#294, where #293 is the original news item. Deleting from here deletes the original news item.
