Manila doesn't allow curly braces '{' and '}' inside templates, stories or discussion group posts, except as used by Manila macros. You may be able to adapt this code to be used from within Prefs -> Advanced -> JavaScript, but the code in your page or template which calls it must not use curly brace characters.
