No, the preference text should still work with IE7 even with that text.

Can you open the Frontier application window, choose Main->Jump, enter the following and then click OK:

system.verbs.builtins.html.editor.getEditingTool

Then check if you see this change note at the top of the script:

Add support for Win IE 7. Restructured logic for determining whether we're serving to a compatible version of IE Win.

If you don't see this, can you try updating all your root files and recheck it.
