I/O Folk.....
I realize that those struggling with the code for I/O are probably
not thinking about what I/O might be a month from now. But,
from my perch, I'd like to suggest that you consider making it
a capability of Frontier/Manila.
For what it is worth, here is my perspective. I have a Frontier/Manila
server and a large number of our students have weblogs. It would
be impossible to get them to buy Radio. If I/O is only going to
be a capability of Radio, I am basically cut-off from using it
with colleagues and, more importantly, with my students.
If, however, I/O will be offered as a capability of Frontier, then
I can see all sorts of exciting uses in the classroom. For example,
I just created a new assignment in one of my classes. If each
of my students were one of my "buddies" with a few lines of I/O,
they would all have the assignment. That is VERY powerful.
I wonder, then, whether Frontier will offer it (and when) or if it
will only be offered with Radio?
