wouldn't it make more sense to refer to instant Outlines as IO or I-O?
Because I/O is common shorthand for Input/Output which is going to confuse
other programmers who see it but aren't familiar with instant outlines and
the slash is a this or that indicator which would make it "instant or
outline" which makes no sense at all

my vote: IO

I/O is just confusing and incorrect.
