io update notification

On two rcs servers (rcs.datashed and rcs.blognewsnetwork) I'm not 
getting notifications sent consistently after an io outline upstreams 
(by watching the events log). Both rcs roots are up to date. I've 
also tried it at radio.weblogs.com, and not going bold in the buddy 
list there either.

I have a 'standalone' ru setup omm, and it works everytime, but it's 
by no means a 'usual' or 'standard' configuration, so I don't think 
it's a fair indicator.

I'm on an Airport setup, but have also just tried all three setups 
above (rcs.datashed, rcs.bnn, and radio.weblogs.com) in dialup just 
to be sure it wasn't an Airport networking issue. (I've only recently 
gone wireless, and this seems to have been a problem before, at least 
by my memory ;<)

is anybody else experiencing this or digging into it? I'm chasing my 
tail - think I'll post here and see if anybody has any insight (and 
go take a break and eat a cinnamon roll - little break, coffee and 
snack often helps ;<)
