I had the same problem. One piece missing from the directions is that you
should use Source view rather than WYSIWIG view to insert the macro into the
story. When I did that, it worked perfectly.

Subject: Problem With "How to create a directory in Radio's Outliner"
Instructions
Hello, All,
I decided to give this Radio Outliner thing a shot by following these
instructions, http://radio.outliners.com/directoryOutliner. I made my way
down to the section entitled How to create a directory in your Radio
site....
I created my first OPML dirctory and dropped it into the gems folder. I
verified that it was upstreamed correctly. I created a new story and I
pasted the URL which I had nabbed of the events page into the Macro as
instructed and pasted that text into the new story,
<%radio.macros.directoryFrame
("http://www.weblogs.org/gems/WeblogResources.opml")%>. And then I saved
the story. I then check the place where I thought the directory would show
up,
http://www.weblogs.org/stories/2002/06/13/directoryOfWeblogResources.html,
and it doesn't appear to be working correctly. It seems that Radio is just
placing the text of the macro in there as if it were regular text instead of
some sort of special text. Instead of pasting it into the WYSIWYG part of
the story editor I tried doing it in the source but that didn't work either.
I feel like I followed the instructions to the letter but it's not working
for me. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
Thanks,
